Prototypes and production

Raytec are good at precise CNC machining of functional prototypes with complex 

geometries, and provide support for your design verification and engineering testing. Our 

general tolerances for CNC machining of metals is DIN-2768-1-fine and for plastics, DIN2768-1-medium.

Tolerances are greatly affected by part geometry and type of material. 

Prototype machining provides a consistently smooth surface finish with a typical machined 

surface roughness of Ra 1.6μm and super-finish machined surfaces up to Ra 0.2μm.
